Up and Adam!

Well....it's over! God was so good to Robert (and me) yesterday. He had NO problems with the surgery, NO problems with the anesthesia, and rested comfortably all day. This last part is none other than a miracle from God. You see, resting comfortably, in a bed, all day, would have never happened prior to yesterday. Aside from the pain from his incision, some cut and resewn muscles, and discomfort from being moved around in surgery.....THE ORIGINAL HIP PAIN IS GONE! Praise God! I stopped to type this brief update and don't have very long before having to get back to Robert. He'll be getting a regular breakfast this morning (no more wild and crazy "liquids"--YUCK!), and then we will be getting him up for the first time. He has had an immobilizer from his hip to his ankle on, which will come off today. Also, the drains, pain pump and IV come out today! I guess you could say that he'll be "wireless" in just a little while! Our immediate prayer request is just that he will not have a hard time getting up today and walking a few steps. Please pray that there are no setbacks from that and that pain will be at a minimum. I will break away tonight after things settle down and write another update. I cannot express to you in words just exactly how much your prayers mean to us. Robert would not have had the day that he did yesterday had it not been for you prayers. "The fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much!" We love you guys so much, Jen
